
Lieutenant Chad Ferguson
Lieutenant Chad Ferguson was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and grew up in Vincennes, Indiana. After high school, Lt. Ferguson enlisted in the United States Army. After his time spent in the United States Armed Forces, Lieutenant Ferguson returned back to Indiana and was sworn in as a Deputy with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office in 1998. Lieutenant Ferguson has served in Motor Patrol as both a Deputy and a Field Training Officer. Additionally, he served as a Motorcycle Deputy, a member of the Court Security Unit, a supervisor on Motor Patrol, and in the Confinement Division. Lieutenant Ferguson most recently served as the Assistant Jail Commander on 3rd Shift before being promoted to Executive Commander in June of 2014. Lieutenant Ferguson is most proud of the dedicated staff that serves the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office.
