SUBJECT:Wanted Subject in Custody Peacefully Following Brief Standoff

On August 17th, 2023 at 1:35 PM, Deputies assigned to the United State Marshal’s Fugitive Task
Force attempted to serve a felony arrest warrant for Jeremy Michael Wood at 1501 S. Boeke
Road. Task Force Officers made contact with the residents and confirmed that the suspect was inside
the residence.
For nearly one hour and thirty minutes, Task Force Officers issued warnings from
outside using loud speakers and from inside the residence for the suspect to surrender. Task Force
Officers then requested and received a judicially signed search warrant for the residence to search
for the suspect inside.
At approximately 2:53 PM, chemical agents were introduced into the residence.
Approximately 3 minutes later, the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.
The Evansville Police Department assisted with the incident. Both AMR and the Evansville Fire
Department were also on scene during the usage of the chemical agents.

Felony Petition to Revoke Probation- Original charge of Possession of Methamphetamine
Misdemeanor Failure to Appear Warrant- Operating without ever obtaining a license
