On Wednesday, July 31, 2024 Ballistic Buddies donated two bullet resistant K-9 vests to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO).

The presentation took place at Rounder’s Too Pizza in Daylight, the official home of the Oliver’s Hero’s K-9 charity.

VCSO and Ballistic Buddies selected Rounder’s Too for the presentation location given that restaurant owner and Oliver’s Heroes founder Mr. Joe Sells recently passed away after a long illness. Joe was a huge supporter of the Sheriff’s Office and founded Oliver’s Heroes to directly support VCSO K-9s. Joe donated to Ballistic Buddies to help purchase one of the vests.

Sheriff Noah Robinson stated, “A huge thank you to Jessie Hewig with Ballistic Buddies for this generous contribution. The entire Oliver’s Heroes family is still recovering from the loss of Joe Sells. Joe was a huge a canine enthusiast, so a donation like this really honors his wishes and helps keep the memory of our dear friend alive.”
