Student Raises Money for Sheriff’s K-9’s

Chief Deputy John Strange recently accepted a $120 donation on behalf of the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office’s K-9 program from Bricelynn Shields of McCutchanville.

Bricelynn made and sold potholders for a school project known as, “The Giving Project.” The money will be deposited into the budget line item for Sheriff’s Office canines and will be used to pay for the dogs’ food and training.

Chief Strange said, “Bricelynn’s efforts are very much appreciated. Her sense of community spirit is highly commendable, and it should be an example for all citizens to emulate.”
