AUTHORITY: Sheriff Eric Williams

On 01-31-2014, at 2330 hours, deputies were dispatched to the 4600 block of Hogue Rd in reference to a motor vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a green 1999 Ford F150 had left the South side of the roadway, struck a retaining wall, several mailboxes, and a utility pole, before rolling over and coming to rest against a large tree. The crash investigation revealed the F150 had initially been West on Hogue Rd prior to leaving the roadway. The driver, John Marsh, was the only occupant of the vehicle. He sustained serious lacerations to his head during the crash and was transported to Deaconess Hospital where he was admitted for treatment. Once at the hospital, deputies determined Marsh was more than triple the legal limit of .08 with a blood alcohol level of .25. Charges against Marsh will be filed with the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office at a later time.
