German American Bank Phone Scam is Back

The Sheriff’s Office has received reports that scam phone calls using the German American Bank name are happening again. PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THESE PHONE CALLS OR TEXT MESSAGES. These scammers are only using the banks name and do not have access to any of your personal banking information. Sheriff Dave Wedding advises, “If you receive an unsolicited call from your financial institution, hang up and call the bank directly at a number you know to be correct.”
