Sheriff Dave Wedding attended the Indiana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (INESGR) and Indiana Military Support Corporation (IMSC) Employer Appreciation Day at Cambridge Golf Course today.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office routinely recruits veterans to fill its ranks and supports the efforts of the INESGR and IMSC to assist our military veterans. The Sheriff’s Office (as well as all other county offices and departments) awards preference points to eligible armed forces veterans who are being considered for full time employment. Sheriff Dave Wedding stated, “My experience with the veterans our office employs has been overwhelmingly positive. Newly hired veterans start day one with a mission oriented mindset, a respect for the importance of procedure, and the ability to perform under pressure.”

The Indiana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is a Department of Defense office, led and operated by dedicated volunteers and staff whose mission is to gain and maintain employer support for the Guard and Reserve. The Indiana Military Support Corporation is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to promote public understanding and employer support for the role of the National Guard and Federal Reserve Forces in the defense of the United States.
