Juvenile Arrests Following Pursuit and Stolen Vehicle Recovery

Evansville, IN – On the morning of March 25, 2025, at approximately 3:30 AM, deputies observed a Jeep Compass driving erratically in the Kohl’s West parking lot. A traffic stop was initiated, but the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leading deputies on a brief pursuit within the construction zone along W. Lloyd Expressway.

The pursuit ended when the vehicle stopped on the Tekoppel Avenue bridge, and two individuals exited the vehicle and fled on foot. It was later determined that the Jeep Compass had been reported stolen.

A deputy was called to the scene to assist with a K9 track. The K9 did not apprehend the suspects, but the deputy’s efforts led to the discovery of the two individuals hiding in a nearby garage several blocks away. After being taken into custody, it was determined that both suspects were juveniles.

Both juveniles were transported to the Operations Center for questioning and later transferred to the Youth Care Center. They face charges of felony resisting law enforcement, misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

The incident is still under investigation
