SUBJECT: Narcotics Investigation Leads to Multiple Arrests
RELEASE NUMBER: 2025-NR-0918
CONTACT: Lt. Matt Schnell
AUTHORITY: Sheriff Noah Robinson
In June 2025, Detectives assigned to the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), began receiving information that Brian Anthony McCurry and Frank Scott Pascoccio Jackson were distributing large quantities of Schedule I controlled chemicals used to manufacture synthetic cannabinoids, commonly referred to as “K2.” Both Jackson and McCurry are currently on supervised federal probation for prior narcotics-related convictions.
Detectives conducted both physical and electronic surveillance on McCurry and Jackson to investigate their activities and associations. During the investigation, Detectives identified Zaine Kiyle Conner as assisting McCurry in processing the chemicals for distribution.
On September 17, 2025, Detectives executed judicially authorized search warrants at the residences of McCurry, Jackson, and Conner.
At McCurry’s residence, Detectives located 20 pounds of marijuana, approximately one-half pound of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, 170 grams of Suboxone strips, and roughly 13.5 pounds of suspected Schedule I synthetic cannabinoid chemicals. Four juveniles were also found living at the residence with McCurry and his girlfriend, Destiny Marie Minton. Detectives additionally seized more than $20,000 in U.S. currency.
At Jackson’s residence, Detectives located 139 grams of suspected Schedule I synthetic cannabinoid chemicals. Evidence indicated that Jackson had been mixing the chemicals with a solvent and applying the mixture to paper. Two juveniles were found living at the residence with Jackson’s girlfriend, Davina Anna Maria Johnson.
At Conner’s residence, Detectives located approximately 14 pounds of suspected Schedule I synthetic cannabinoid chemicals. A clandestine laboratory was discovered in an outbuilding on the property, which appeared to be used for processing and preparing the chemicals for distribution. Numerous firearms were also seized.
All suspects, except for McCurry, were arrested and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail. McCurry has not been located at this time and an arrest warrant has been issued. The juveniles were placed in the care of the Department of Child Services.
It is estimated that one pound of Schedule I synthetic cannabinoid chemical can produce up to 100 pounds of treated leaf, commonly referred to as K2. Detectives seized more than 28 pounds of the chemical, which had the potential to yield approximately 2,800 pounds of treated leaf or another carrier material.
The Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force is comprised of Detectives from the Evansville Police Department and the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office. They were assisted in this investigation by the Evansville Police Department Street Crimes Unit, the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office, the United States Attorney’s Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Indiana State Police, the United States Marshals Service, and the United States Postal Service.
