On Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 7:36 pm Sheriff’s deputies and German Township Fire Department medics responded to 4150 Kleitz Road after receiving a report that a man had been struck by a four-wheeler. Upon arrival deputies spoke to the victim, Mr. Robert Waters. Mr. Waters indicated that he had been measuring his property for a fence when his neighbor, Mr. Brad Wallace, ran over him with a four-wheeler.
When deputies spoke to Mr. Wallace, he told them that he was tired of his neighbor “messing with him” and wanted him off his property. Mr. Wallace admitted to intentionally running down Mr. Waters.
Mr. Waters’ nose appeared broken and one of his fingers appeared nearly dismembered. Mr. Waters was transported by ambulance to Deaconess Hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.
Mr. Wallace was taken to the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center and booked on charges of Aggravated Battery as a Class B Felony and Criminal Recklessness as a Class D Felony.
