Parole Violator leads Deputies on an Early Morning Pursuit

A man with an active parole violation warrant led deputies on an early morning pursuit.

On September 06, 2014 at approximately 1:00 am, Deputies Homer Hale and Tony Toopes attempted to stop a vehicle east bound on the Lloyd Expressway at St Joseph Avenue. The silver Honda passenger car was clocked traveling 81 miles per hour in a posted 55 mile per hour zone at Lloyd and Claremont Avenue.

The vehicle continued east bound on the Lloyd until it was stopped by responding Sheriff and Evansville Police units as the vehicle attempted to turn into opposing traffic on the clover leaf to Hwy 41. The driver was taken into custody and identified as Ryan Christopher Reynolds, 42 years of age, from Mount Vernon Indiana. The vehicle Mr. Reynolds was driving had been reported stolen from Posey County.

Auto Theft as a Level 6 Felony, Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated with Test Refusal as a Class A Misdemeanor, Resisting Law Enforcement as a Level 6 Felony, Operate while Habitual Traffic Violator as a Class C Felony, Reckless Driving as a Class B Misdemeanor, State Parole Warrant
