On Wednesday, July 01, 2015 at 11:24pm the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office responded to 2005 Westbrook Boulevard in reference to a subject being stabbed multiple times. On arrival deputies entered the residence and located a male victim who was seriously injured in the attack. Deputies began administering first aid, applying tourniquets until medical personnel arrived at the location.

During the course of the investigation it was learned that a male suspect had kicked in the door to the residence and began stabbing the victim with a large knife. A female resident home at the time attempted to stop the attack and was also injured by the suspect. The suspect and the victims were familiar with each other prior to this incident and both victims identified the suspect by name as Mr. Kevin Eastwood.

The victims were transported by AMR to Deaconess Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The male victim was taken to surgery shortly after arriving at Deaconess. His condition is unknown at this time, but is not believed to be life threatening. The female victim was treated for a laceration to her hand and released.

A Sheriff’s Office K-9 team was utilized in an attempt to track the suspect; however the track was lost a short distance away. The suspect was believed to have fled the area in a vehicle.

Sheriff’s Office detectives made phone contact Mr. Kevin Eastwood, who agreed to turn himself in at the Sheriff Command Post. Mr. Eastwood arrived a short time later and was placed under arrest.
