The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning robbery that occurred at the MotoMart gas station located on Mariner Drive near Lynch Road and Oak Hill Road.

At approximately 3:50 A.M. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a robbery at the MotoMart on Mariner Drive. The clerk advised that a male suspect had approached her on foot while she was sweeping the parking lot. The suspect asked her for directions and then produced a large knife. The clerk retreated back into the store and called 911.

The suspect then entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a bottle of prescription medication and some loose change before fleeing the area.

The Evansville Police Department responded to assist and deployed a K-9 in an effort to track the suspect. The suspect was not apprehended and the incident remains under investigation.

Male, 25 to 30 year old, hispanic, short dark hair, slim to medium build, tattoo front right neck
