Rape Arrest:

On Wednesday, December 18, 2014 at approximately 6:40 am, the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 5201 Pearl Drive reference a harassment report.  When deputies spoke with the victim, the victim stated she had been receiving threatening text and phone calls from her ex-boyfriend, Quinton Lee Jennings.  Furthermore, the victim stated Jennings had held her against her will and raped her during the night.

The victim stated on Wednesday, December 17 at approximately 7:00 pm, Jennings contacted the victim and wanted to discuss their relationship.  The victim and Jennings met at his home. They left together in a car with the victim driving.  As they drove the victim stated she became scared and told Jennings she wanted to go home.  Jennings then had the victim pull into a parking lot near Covert Avenue & Lodge Avenue.  Jennings told the victim he had a gun and not to do anything foolish.

The victim stated she then exited the vehicle and attempted to walk away from the car but Jennings grabbed her from behind and she started screaming.  Jennings then put his hand over her mouth; and forced her back into the car.  As the victim struggled to get out of the car, Jennings hit her in the face with his fist.  Jennings then had the victim continue driving around and though the victim tried to escape again, Jennings seat belted her in the car and threatened to either kill her or do something bad to the victim.

Jennings then had the victim drive them to Burdette Park. While at Burdette Park, the victim convinced Jennings to allow her to use the restroom. Jennings led her to the restroom where he raped her.

Jennings then had the victim drive him back to his residence.  The victim finally convinced Jennings she needed to go home and get ready for work. He allowed her to leave.

At approximately 5:30 pm, Vanderburgh County Sheriff investigators, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal Task Force, located Jennings at 418 Jefferson Avenue where Jennings was taken into custody without incident.

Jennings is being lodged at the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Confinement Center on a multitude of charges.  Jennings has no bond.
