We’ve been made aware of another scam going around, this one involves Recent Bookings. Scammers are contacting friends and family members of recently booked individuals and asking if they’d like to post a bond on their behalf.
⚠️ 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗠! ⚠️
𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻. They will 𝗡𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 be collected by phone, email or text.
The Vanderburgh County Jail will NEVER call you and provide a link or website to bail a friend or family member out.
If you receive a phone call or message like this, 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱 and 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆. Instead, contact the Vanderburgh County Clerk’s Office or the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office directly for accurate information.
