At 10:00 on Thursday, December 22nd, 2022, Sheriff Wedding would like to recognize the stakeholders involved in the Vanderburgh County Jail Enhancement Project. Sheriff Wedding has lobbied throughout his tenure as elected Sheriff for improving the capacity and capabilities of the Vanderburgh County Jail complex. Sheriff Wedding is inviting Vanderburgh County Commissioners, Vanderburgh County Council Members, the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Building Authority, local media, and others, to acknowledge the efforts of these individuals for the project coming to fruition as he leaves office. A symbolic dirt moving ceremony will be conducted in the planned expansion area located at 3500 N Harlan Avenue.
