The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Evansville man who fled from deputies. At approximately 2:15 pm today Sheriff’s deputies responded to Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union located at 4905 University Drive for a person attempting to cash fraudulent checks at the drive-thru. The suspect, Eric Stucker, was attempting to leave as deputies arrived.  When deputies attempted to pull Stucker over he refused to stop. A short pursuit occurred before Stucker crashed his truck in the area of 5500 Hogue Road. During the crash the vehicle struck a house and utility pole causing downed wires. No injuries were reported.

Hogue Road was closed for approximately 90 minutes while utility crews repaired the pole.

Arrested: Eric S. Stucker, 30 of Evansville
Charges: Resisting Law Enforcement Level 6 Felony, Reckless Driving Class C Misdemeanor, Fraud on a Financial Institution Class A Misdemeanor, Theft Class A Misdemeanor, and Possession of Methamphetamine Class A Misdemeanor.
