On Thursday, September 22nd at 7:23 PM, Deputies were dispatched to 412 Gun Powder Lane in reference to a residential burglary alarm. Upon arrival, deputies noticed the front door was ajar and the lock was damaged with visible pry marks.

Deputies made contact with two subjects inside the residence, Blake Cadwalader, and a female companion. Cadwalader was determined to be a resident of the address, but had difficulty explaining why he attempted to hide from deputies in the residence when they arrived.

While speaking with Cadwalader, deputies noticed a strong odor of raw marijuana emitting from inside the home. Cadwalader told deputies he had a small amount of marijuana inside the residence and consented to a search of the home.

During a search of the residence, deputies located approximately 17 pounds of high grade marijuana, most of which was individually packaged inside vacuum sealed bags. Deputies also located 29 grams of a synthetic cannabinoid, grinders, scales, and packaging materials.

Deputies also arrested a second resident, Jeffrey Pendleton II. Seven firearms were seized during the arrest including four (4) handguns, two (2) AR-15 rifles, and one (1) shotgun.
