On Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 7:36pm the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office responded to 7500 Oakhill Road in reference to a suicidal person with a gun.

Mr. Rommel Seaboy was reportedly intoxicated and threatening to kill his wife and himself. Mr. Seaboy had reportedly discharged a shotgun twice while standing on the back deck of his home.

Deputies met Mrs. Christina Seaboy in the front yard and directed her across the street and out of the area. Mr. Seaboy then exited his garage while deputies were set up around a perimeter. Mr. Seaboy followed verbal commands and offered no resistance prior to being taken into custody.

Mr. and Mrs. Seaboy were later interviewed at the Sheriff’s Command Post. Both gave statements indicating that Mr. Seaboy had threatened suicide while pointing a shotgun at himself and had also discharged the shotgun into woods, all while in the presence of his wife. Mr. Seaboy had also pointed the shotgun at Mrs. Seaboy and threatened her.

Mr. Seaboy was later lodged at the Vanderburgh County Jail.
