RELEASE NUMBER: 2016-NR-037
CONTACT: Lt. Noah Robinson
AUTHORITY: Sheriff Dave Wedding

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of prescription drug theft believed to have been committed by satellite television service salesmen.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to two separate residences in Stone Creek subdivision off Kansas Road this past Wednesday to investigate missing prescription drugs. Each resident reported that they were approached at home by a pair of independent sales representatives for Dish Network. One or more of the salesmen is suspected of stealing prescription medication from the kitchen of each of the two homes.

The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identity of the salesmen and continues to investigate. Any residents who were recently visited by a salesperson representing Dish Network, and who are now missing prescription medication, are asked to call 911 to report the theft.
