A message from Sheriff Dave Wedding….
On behalf of the entire Sheriff’s Office, I wish to thank all of the sheriff’s deputies, confinement officers, police officers and firefighters who will participate in tonight’s Guns and Hoses charity boxing event. Each of these men and women will bravely step into the ring in order to benefit area children with disabilities.
Being a public safety professional requires the acceptance of personal risk and sacrifice for the greater good. Whether they are in or out of the ring, tonight’s fighters exemplify this ideal by putting others first. I hope you will join me in cheering these heroes on.
