Driver Injured after Crashing and Overturning Vehicle on Seven Hills Road

On Saturday, November 22, 2014 at approximately 1:40 am, the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Seven Hills Road near Old State Road 57 upon report of an accident with injury. Scott Township Fire Department arrived and advised they would need to extricate the driver from the vehicle.

On scene investigation determined that a 2000 Nissan passenger car had been eastbound in the 4700 block of Seven Hills Road when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road.  The vehicle struck an embankment and then a tree and came to rest on the driver’s side. The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle. Seven Hills Road was closed to traffic for approximately two hours.

The driver, Mr. Craig Alan Ford, was transported to St. Mary’s for non life threatening injuries. The driver was wearing his seatbelt and the air bags were deployed. The driver submitted to chemical testing and the investigation is ongoing.
