SUBJECT: Deputies Respond to Single Vehicle Fatality Crash

On 12-15-2022, at 823 AM, deputies responded to the 18000 Block of Old Princeton Rd near Hilltop Rd. in reference to a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, deputies found a Dodge Challenger upside down in a ditch and partially submerged in water. The preliminary investigation suggested the vehicle was traveling South on Old Princeton Rd. before hitting a guard rail and going off the side of the roadway and into a large ditch.
Personnel from the Perry Township Fire Department, McCutchanville Fire Department, and Evansville Fire Department Dive Team assisted in extracting the vehicle from the water. The driver was found deceased inside the vehicle. The crash is still under investigation at this time. The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the driver at a later time.
