Detectives with the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force received multiple anonymous complaints alleging that Johnathan Dewayne Driskell was selling narcotics from his residence in the 500 block of North Fourth Avenue. Driskell was sentenced to Electronic Home Detention by the Vanderburgh County Superior Court on October 17, 2023. As part of his detention agreement, he is required to submit to home searches by law enforcement upon request.
On March 13, 2025, Deputies and Residential Officers from the Therapeutic Work Release program, with assistance from the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force, conducted a search of Driskell’s residence. During the search, detectives recovered approximately 180 grams of suspected cocaine, 145 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, one long rifle, one loaded handgun, multiple rounds of rifle ammunition, approximately one gram of suspected LSD, and several digital scales. Driskell, a convicted felon, is legally prohibited from possessing firearms. Following the search, he was taken into custody and transported to the Vanderburgh County Jail.
