The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three suspects in connection with a series of burglaries and thefts across Vanderburgh County and the City of Evansville. Flock Technology License Plate Reader (LPR) technology played a critical role in tracking and ultimately locating one of the suspects who had fled the state to avoid apprehension.
On April 20, 2026, deputies responded to a burglary at a residence on Bergdolt Rd. in Vanderburgh County. Among the items stolen was a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Through the course of the investigation and numerous interviews, Chandler O’Brian Moseley was identified as one of the suspects. Detectives determined that Moseley had possession of the stolen motorcycle and attempted to sell it multiple times before it was recovered. Detectives also discovered that Moseley had active felony warrants for his arrest related to other burglaries. The vehicle Moseley was known to be driving was identified and entered into the Flock LPR system for monitoring. Within days, Flock alerts confirmed the vehicle had been detected multiple times in the Virginia and North Carolina areas, corroborating information that Moseley had fled the jurisdiction to avoid arrest.
On May 13, 2026, a burglary in progress was reported at a residence on Ashwood Ave. Security cameras captured two suspects attempting to break into the home and an outbuilding. One of the suspects fled on foot, and a pursuit resulted in the arrest of Tristan Schulz. During subsequent interviews, Schulz identified the second suspect and provided information linking Chandler Moseley to additional thefts and burglaries in the area.
On May 15, 2026, during a follow-up investigation, Taylor Cox was observed in a mobile home community and fled from patrol deputies on foot. Cox was apprehended with the assistance of a Sheriff’s Office K-9. Cox admitted to involvement with both Moseley and Schulz. Cox and Moseley were also identified as suspects in an active Evansville Police Department burglary investigation.
On May 20, 2026, real-time Flock LPR alerts notified detectives that the vehicle associated with Moseley was actively traveling in the Lebanon, Tennessee area. Detectives immediately coordinated with the Lebanon Police Department, who located the vehicle and took Moseley into custody on his outstanding Vanderburgh County warrants. Lebanon Police additionally charged Moseley with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Impersonating a Police Officer. Moseley will remain in custody in Tennessee until local charges there are resolved and he is extradited back to Vanderburgh County.
Flock Technology was instrumental in tracking Moseley across state lines and coordinating his arrest with out-of-state law enforcement. This case demonstrates the value of Flock as a force multiplier for local law enforcement agencies working to keep their communities safe.
The investigations are ongoing, and the three suspects are believed to be responsible for additional burglaries and thefts in the area. Additional charges are expected.
