The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has arrested four Evansville residents following an investigation into a series of burglaries and car thefts that occurred in western Vanderburgh and Posey Counties over the last several months.

Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office recently partnered with the American Red Cross and the University of Evansville’s Dunigan Family School of Nursing to provide “Hands-Only” CPR instruction and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) familiarization to individuals incarcerated in the Vanderburgh County Jail.

Vanderburgh County Jail Officer Austin Jones and his K9 partner, Jaeger, earned first place in narcotic detection.

Research shows that people recently released from jail are ten times more likely to experience an opioid overdose. Sheriff Robinson added, “Obtaining a dose of Narcan can give someone the chance to live another day, and with that the chance to begin recovery and build a better life.”

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has announced a new partnership with the Vanderburgh County Fire Department that will streamline DUI enforcement while reducing inconvenience for motorists.
