Deputies were dispatched to Windemere Drive as a contract crew struck a gas line and an electrical line while digging. The immediate area was evacuated and residents were kept on the perimeter while emergency crews entered the area to stop the leak. CenterPoint crews immediately located the lines and stopped the gas leak. CenterPoint advised that electrical power would be restored to the residents sometime tonight.
No one was injured during the incident.
Residents are able to return to their homes and there is no reported danger at this time.
