On Thursday, September 18, 2014 at approximately 4:30 am, a Sheriff’s Deputy advised central dispatch that he was involved in a traffic accident on S. Green River Road near Bellemeade Avenue. The deputy had been southbound when he observed a 2009 Chevrolet Impala northbound in the southbound lanes.

The deputy came to a stop and activated his emergency lights in an attempt to warn the vehicle to stop. The vehicle continued on and struck the side of the deputy’s stationary patrol car. The vehicle continued northbound in the southbound lanes of S. Green River Road until reaching Lincoln Avenue. The vehicle struck and then drove over the concrete median and continued east on Lincoln Avenue.

The deputy was able to follow the vehicle, which stopped at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Newburgh Road. The driver, later identified as 18-year-old Haley Shea Green, was subsequently arrested on charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated as a Class A Misdemeanor, Reckless Driving as a Class B Misdemeanor, Minor Consumption as a Class C Misdemeanor, and Hit & Run as a Class B Misdemeanor.

No injuries were reported as a result of the collision. Testing at the confinement center revealed Ms. Green’s breath alcohol content (BrAC) to be .246.
