SUBJECT: Fatal Crash on Old Henderson Road

On Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 1:04pm the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash in the 15,000 block of Old Henderson Road.
A red passenger car had been westbound on Old Henderson Road before leaving the roadway for an unknown reason. A preliminary investigation indicated that the vehicle traveled at least 100 yards off the roadway, hit a large tree, and then caught fire. The driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office and the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office is still investigating the crash. The deceased driver, whose name is being withheld at this time, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
