On Sunday, 12-11-2022, at 3:46 AM, deputies with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of Upper Mount Vernon Road and Boehne Camp Road in reference to a single-vehicle accident.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an 18-year-old Evansville man on multiple felony charges, including Rape. The alleged incidents occurred while the suspect, Luke Samuel Pokorney, was a juvenile. 

On 12-02-2022, at 10:17 AM, deputies were dispatched to 14300 Bickmeier Rd. in reference to a death investigation. A tree trimming service crew was working at the job site when a 41 year old male operating a skid steer backed into an outrigger. The male was pulling a log as he backed up and was crushed between the skid steer he was operating and an outrigger.

On 11/27/22, at approximately 0550 hours, the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence in progress in the 4800 block of Lakeside Dr. involving a person with a gun.

At 10:45 on 11/11/2022 Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding is inviting local media outlets to an Open House of the Office’s new Forensic Investigation Building located at 1700 Bartlett Avenue.

On 11/03/22, at approximately 1435hrs, Vanderburgh County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to St Joseph Avenue and Allens Lane reference a two vehicle crash with injuries.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of Seminary Rd and Bayou Creek Rd.at 910 pm for a single vehicle crash.
