Sheriff’s Office Investigating Seven Vehicle Crash on I-69

On Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 5:31pm the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, Evansville Police Department, and Evansville Fire Department responded to a report of a crash involving multiple vehicles on I-69 north of Lynch Road.

Investigation Underway After Inmate Dies

 A confinement officer assigned to Housing Unit B1 observed an inmate in distress. The officer found the inmate unresponsive in the cell. Additional officers, along with jail medical staff, were summoned to the housing unit. An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) was deployed, and officers began CPR. Medics from the Evansville Fire Department and AMR arrived to assist. At 09:45 AM, medics ceased resuscitation efforts upon orders from a physician.

Sheriff’s Office Halloween Sex Offender Compliance Getting Underway

This Halloween the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office will be closely monitoring the residential areas of Vanderburgh County outside of the Evansville City limits. Sheriff’s deputies will be watching for unsafe driving as well as mischievous and suspicious activity.
