Driver from Fatal I-69 Crash Arrested
Evansville Vanderburgh Central Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the northbound lanes of Interstate 69 south of the Highway 57 exit near the 17.5 mile marker. The Scott Township Fire Department arrived on scene at approximately 7:53 PM and advised there were two vehicles involved, later notifying dispatch that one passenger was deceased. The Sheriff’s Office arrived and began an investigation.
Crash on I-69 Kills One
On September 04, 2023 at approximately 7:44pm deputies with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office and firefighters with the Scott Township Fire Department (STFD) were dispatched to a multi-vehicle accident with injuries on I-69 near the 18 mile marker in the northbound lanes.

On August 17th, 2023, at 1:35 PM, Deputies assigned to the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force attempted to serve a felony arrest warrant for Jeremy Michael Wood at 1501 S. Boeke Road.
