Sheriff’s Office Arrests Fentanyl Dealer

Detectives with the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force have arrested an Evansville man following a narcotics investigation that led to the discovery of fentanyl and other items indicative of drug trafficking.

In late May 2025, detectives received information that Andrew Allen Cooper was allegedly dealing fentanyl from his residence in the 1500 block of Ravenswood Drive. After a detailed and thorough investigation, detectives developed sufficient probable cause to request a search warrant.

On June 12, 2025, a Vanderburgh County judge approved a search warrant for Cooper’s residence. During the execution of the warrant, detectives recovered approximately 25 grams of suspected fentanyl, 24 grams of a suspected cutting agent, and a digital scale, all items commonly associated with narcotics distribution. In addition, $4,076.00 in U.S. currency was seized as suspected drug proceeds.

Cooper was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Vanderburgh County Jail. He has been charged with Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (Fentanyl).

The Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force is a collaborative unit composed of detectives from the Evansville Police Department and the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office.

“This case reflects our continued commitment to aggressively targeting those who profit from the sale of deadly narcotics like fentanyl,” said Sheriff Noah Robinson. “We remain focused on disrupting the local drug trade and protecting the citizens of Vanderburgh County from the dangers of addiction and overdose.”
