Sheriff Noah Robinson announced today that the Vanderburgh County Council approved his request to fund a new detective position at the Sheriff’s Office. This will allow a detective to be assigned full-time to the local Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) Task Force.

On February 8th, 2023 at approximately 4:14 PM Deputies observed Carlos Alberto Gamboa driving a 2004 Lincoln Aviator in the area of North 2nd Avenue and West Virginia Street

On February 5, 2023 at approximately 2200 hours deputies with the Vanderburgh County
Sheriff’s office were dispatched to an accident with injuries near the intersection
of University Parkway and Hogue Rd.

The Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man on charges of Reckless Homicide after investigating a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

On 02-02-2023, at 610 PM, deputies responded to the area of 11650 Sawmill Drive for a medical assist. Upon arrival, the Scott Township Fire Department located a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle.

Zachary Tyler Young was developed as the suspect who led deputies on a brief pursuit on 01/04/2023 that resulted in deputies terminating the pursuit.

On 12-23-2022, deputies responded to an injury crash at NB I69 near Boonville New Harmony Rd.
